Manitoulin Fine Arts Association 17th Annual Manitoulin Art Tour
July 15 - 17 2011

Homesteads, rivers, lakes, Native legends and wildlife are a few things you will see on and off the canvas on this tour. Come enjoy a scenic drive and see first hand what inspires these talented local artists while visiting them at unique studios dotted across the largest freshwater island in the world.

This is 3 day self-guided artists' studio tour which includes photographers, painters, sculptors, potters and more from across Manitoulin Island and runs from 11am - 4pm on July 15th, 16th and 17th, 2011. Maps are available all over the Island in tourism booths, gas stations, restaurants and stores.

Celebrating the Unity and Connection of the Trinidad and Tobago Steel Drum with the Anishinabek Drum

Pan Fantasy Steel Band will be performing on the grounds of the Gallery and Guesthouse 14 and 15 Given Road South Baymouth Manitoulin Island August 22 and Saturday August 23 2009

From Toronto's annual Caribana Parade to Manitoulin Island Pan Fantasy Steel Band in their 22 year has grown from an intimate group of players to an impressive collection of vibrant players.

The group of 30 players, age 9 to 65, has received top distinctions from Toronto their home base, and New York with the assistance of their leader Wendy Jones and arranger Al Foster.

The band is pleased and honoured that the Consul General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Michael Lashley, will be part of a welcome ceremony on Friday August 22 at 5 pm.

The Meeting of the Two drums will happen on Friday and Saturday when Drummers from Wikwemikong and Pan Fantasy Steel Band meet and interact.
